Fatal Crash Remains Under Investigation

On December 11 at approximately 6:57 a.m., the West Plains Police Department received a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash on North US Highway 63. Upon arrival, officers observed a red Dodge passenger car that had sustained major damage resting in the driveway to James Gang Towing.
During a preliminary crash investigation, officers ascertained the vehicle had run off the roadway, collided with a concrete culvert, and overturned. The driver, identified as 33-year-old Todd Cason, of West Plains, was ejected and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The exact time and cause of the crash is unknown at this time. This is the second crash fatality in West Plains this year.
