Friends of the Library Membership Drive

The Mountain View Public Library Fundraising Group is Seeking New Members
The Mountain View Public Library is kicking off a Friends of the Library membership drive beginning in March 2021.
The Friends group raises money for the library by hosting a used book sale every month. This money is used to purchase books for the children’s and teen collections.
Dues are $5 a year. Minutes of the meetings will be emailed to all members. There is a core group of members that meets now, but new members are needed. The meetings are the second Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. Once every three months, a meeting will be scheduled for those who may not be able to come to an afternoon meeting. This will be determined at a later date.
Fundraising is the focus to help the library pay for some of the services offered to patrons at no charge. For example, children’s summer reading programs and prizes.
If you are interested in joining the Mountain View Friends of the Library group, please call 417-934-6154. You will be welcomed and very appreciated.
