A fundraiser for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

A fund has been set up with the Community Foundation in Willow Springs to fund the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for children in the Willow Springs School District. The Willow Springs Rotary Club is leading the charge to continue funding this well-loved project in our area.

There has already been an anonymous donation of $1,000 to start the fund. The State of Missouri will continue to fund the children in the program currently, until the money runs out, expected to be around December 2026. But local organizers want to continue to enroll new children, newborns, in the program so they don’t miss this opportunity. If there are any children, newborn to 5 years-old, who want to get enrolled, paper applications are available at the Ferguson Building, the Willow Springs Public Library and the Willow Springs school. Applications should be returned to Gloria Waggoner at Willow Springs Elementary Schools.

The books are free to children who sign up, but they are funded by local partners. Willow Springs Rotary Club will be doing fundraising and asking anyone who wants to make a donation, to do so to the Community Foundation with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library noted in the memo line. Rotary will also be asking for support from other local organizations, businesses and clubs. If you or your organization are interested or would like more information about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, contact anyone in the Willow Springs Rotary Club by sending a message on Facebook or calling President Stephanie Beltz-Price at 417-247-7122.

Donations are tax deductible if made directly to the Community Foundation.
