The Howell County Commission met on April 14 and 18.
On April 14, the commission reviewed the returns from the municipal election and approved Commission Order 2022-O8 to impose an additional sales tax of one-fourth of one percent (1/4 of 1%) for law enforcement purposes.
The Howell County Collector was scheduled to meet that day with the commission to present an amended annual collector's settlement.
On April 18, the commission was scheduled to approve Commission Order 2022-O9 Abatement and Additions of Tax Assessment for March 2022. They also reviewed the standard allowance for ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds.
Representatives of the juvenile office were scheduled to meet with the commission Monday to discuss a grant application conference for the Division of Youth Services.
Agendas regularly include approving any accounts payable and recognizing any guests who appear.
