Howell County Commission prepares for upcoming business at next week’s meeting

The Howell County Commission met in its regular session on Thursday, Dec. 14. The meeting agenda planned for members to approve accounts payable before the commission.
Commission members noted at the beginning of the session that discussion of accounts payable would be delayed until the next meeting. The commission then discussed upcoming elections for the county—the sign-up for which is currently underway. They also talked about the history of elections and their current state in the county as well as road construction being done in the West Plains area.
Northern Commissioner Calvin Wood and Southern Commissioner Billy Sexton examined tickets for gravel repairs in their districts. Following their work on the tickets, Presiding Commissioner Ralph L. Riggs noted that the commissioners had no further business to discuss and concluded the meeting.
