Jesse Snelling, 34, of West Plains was charged with two counts of terrorist threats in the first degree after calling Ozarks Healthcare multiple times in early November.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Officer Brad Jones of the West Plains Police Department, the switchboard at the hospital received a threatening phone call at 8:25 a.m. on November 3.
The male caller said to a nurse who answered the phone in the emergency department that he was going to “blow that m----------r up.” Loud rock music played into the phone after the threat.
While on scene investigating the call, Officer Jones was advised that the Behavioral Healthcare facility at Ozarks Healthcare had been receiving threatening calls from a patient, the suspect Jesse Snelling.
Officer Jones learned from workers at Behavioral Healthcare that staff members had received multiple threatening calls featuring loud music from a male caller for “about a month,” which they believed to be from Snelling.
The Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s office issued a warrant for Snelling’s arrest on the two felony counts on November 24. At press time, Snelling remains at large.
