Medical emergency leads to crash into local restaurant

On Saturday, Aug. 22, at approximately 6:57 p.m., officers were dispatched to a single vehicle crash at 1008 Worley in West Plains, MO. This address is commonly known as Ruby Tuesdays.

 

Upon arrival, officers observed a Dodge Dakota had struck the front entrance to the business, shattering the front doors and partially caving in the surrounding walls.

 

It was learned that the truck was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 63 near Preacher Roe before leaving the northbound lanes driving over the median into the southbound lanes, down the hill, and into the front of the business.

 

It was learned that the driver suffered from a medical emergency while operating the vehicle. The driver suffered minor injuries.
