Mountain View Public Library Public Now Open

The Mountain View Public Library presents Imagine Your Story for summer reading 2020. Sign up begins June 1 and program ends July 17. The program is a little different this year because all performances and activities are cancelled, but that does not mean summer reading has to be dull and boring.
This year it is read, read, read. There are a lot of fun prizes to be had for all the reading that will be done. Lots of new books on the shelves kids plus new fairy tale, tall tale and fable books were purchased with LSTA grant money in 2019. A science or craft project will be demonstrated on line and a craft bag containing supplies and instructions can be picked up at the library by anyone signed up for summer reading. Good times ahead for summer reading.
The library hours have changed to Monday –Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Social distancing is in place, computer time is limited to one hour per visit and patrons not using a computer may stay in the library for up to 30 minutes per visit. Call 417-934-6154 for information.
