Newly remodeled West Plains Walmart Supercenter re-opens

West Plains Walmart Supercenter celebrated a grand re-opening on Nov. 3 with a ribbon cutting, community celebration and unveiling of a community inspired mural. The event was attended by local West Plains nonprofit organizations who were recipients of $11,000 in grants. Guests also enjoyed refreshments, food trucks, vendor giveaways, a performance by the West Plains High School Concert Choir and more. Store Manager James Melvin and his team presented grant checks to the following local nonprofit organizations: $5,000 to West Plains Shop With a Cop; $5,000 to West Plains School District Bridges Program; and $1,000 to Ozarks Summit Ministries.
According to a release from the superstore, Walmart has invested over $9 billion in the past two years to upgrade more than 1,400 stores across the country.
