Pop-up Seafood Shop Stops in Willow

Prompting one of the largest gatherings of people in town for weeks, ABSeafood made an appearance in Willow Springs on Saturday, May 2. After announcing their intention to set up in the parking lot at Rustic Hummingbird Antiques and Collectables, they accepted advance orders for products such as frozen alligator, fresh Gulf shrimp, oysters, and lobsters. 

The line of seafood buyers spaced six feet apart stretched from one end of the parking lot to the other almost as soon as the vendors began their two-hour stop at 1:00 p.m.

Jennifer Tooley, owner of Rustic Hummingbird, timed the reopening of her store to coincide with the arrival of the seafood company, and held open hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

ABSeafood is based in Kentucky. They travel within a three-to-four hour radius of Louisville weekly selling fresh and frozen seafood they catch in Alabama.
