Teen Drowns after Bridge Floods

Aliyah Wedge, 18, of Mansfield, drowned in the flooded waters of Wolfe Creek after her vehicle was swept off the road at the crossing at AB Highway, three miles north of Mansfield. 

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene, and Wright County Coroner Ben Hurtt pronounced Wedge dead at the scene at approximately 10:00 a.m. on November 22. The accident occurred when Wedge exited her vehicle after it was swept off the bridge and drowned. 

 

This was Troop G’s third report of a drowning in 2020.
