A Total of Four COVID-19 Cases in Howell County

Last week, Howell County Health Department confirmed three cases of COVID-19 in the county, bringing the total count of positive cases to four. 
On April 6, the second and third cases were announced. Both individuals had recently participated in drive thru testing clinics in West Plains, the Department said in a press release. Health Department officials stated that contacts to the cases have been notified and quarantined.
On April 7, Howell County Health Department received confirmation on the fourth COVID-19 case within the county. Health officials state that the newest COVID-19 case is a 43 year old female residing in West Plains. The individual had recently been tested by a West Plains medical provider. Contact tracing has been conducted and contacts to the case have been notified and the individual and close contacts have been quarantined. 
According to the most recent available information, as of 1:00 p.m. April 10, 300 people have been tested in the county. 253 tests have been negative. Four have been positive. 43 tests are pending results.
The Health Department did not confirm any additional positive cases over the weeked.
