West Plains Woman Charged with Witness Tampering, Harassment

Jessica Geise, 30, of West Plains, has been charged with first degree harassment and tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution. A probable cause statement filed by Deputy Shannon Caldwell of the Howell County Sheriff’s office describes the circumstances that prompted a child order of protection against Geise filed by the victim.
The child is a 16 year-old female victim of sex trafficking who is residing in Missouri for her safety while a criminal trial progresses in another state. The victim has an order of protection against Geise for her harassing behavior.
Despite the order of protection, the victim’s father told Deputy Caldwell that Geise has continued to disturb the girl, making degrading comments to her about her trafficking experiences including calling the child “nasty” and suggesting she “had diseases.”
Geise has access to the child during her court-ordered phone visitation with her children. The victim is the children’s babysitter. The girl told law enforcement Geise said she “will do whatever it takes to make [the girl] leave.”
Online Court records show a summons was issued for Geise on May 7. She remains at large at press time.
