Willow Springs Ambulance Receives Grant

Missouri Employers Mutual has awarded Willow Springs Ambulance $10,000 to help fund the purchase of new equipment to help transport patients: a power cot with a lifting and mounting device.
“The grant will help us be safer,” Jeff Ward, administrator with the ambulance district said. “The new equipment will help us be able to lift patients safely without straining our backs.”
This is the second grant Willow Springs Ambulance has received from MEM. The district received a grant in 2017 to purchase a power cot with a lift device.
All of MEM’s policyholders are eligible for a safety grant, regardless of premium size or claims history. Successful applicants earn one-to-one matching grants up to $10,000 toward approved safety initiatives.
Policyholders are required to monitor claims data and report on the success of the safety grant so MEM can help other businesses learn from their success.
