Willow Mourns High School Senior

A community already too familiar with grief woke up on September 4 with a new reason to mourn. Levi Grogan, 17, of the WSHS Class of 2021, passed away suddenly at his home outside Willow Springs.
Assistant Chief Wes Ellison and Officer John Thomas of the Willow Springs Police Department were the first law enforcement officers on the scene at 9:57 p.m. on September 3, according to police radio chatter on the night of the event. Deputies from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the residence on County Road 5270 within minutes.
South Howell County Emergency Medical Service was dispatched to the residence, but was cancelled prior to arrival. Howell County Coroner, Tim Cherry, was requested to the scene. 
Captain Jared Peterman of HCSO is the officer in charge of the investigation. As of press time, incident reports were not available.
