WP Country Club golf tournament raises $11,000 for Pregnancy Resource Center

On Friday Aug. 25, the West Plains Country Club Ladies Association held a 4-lady golf scramble. The tournament raised $11,000.00 for the Pregnancy Resource Center of West Plains. The luau-themed tournament had 68 participants (17 teams of 4 ladies). In addition to the monetary donations, the participants donated $135 cash + new baby clothes + diapers to the PRC’s Baby Boutique which allows mothers to “shop” brand new items- purchasing with points they have earned within the center. The Pregnancy Resource center is a relatively new organization located in the Silver Springs Business Complex at 306 Davis Drive in West Plains. PRC has expanded to offer small group classes for new fathers as well. They will be celebrating their one-year anniversary this October. Attendees included West Plains Country Club golf pro Jeremy Haynes; West Plains Country Club Ladies Association members Marcie Mickey, Saundra Roe, Kellie Mayers and Shirley Butler; Pregnance Resource Center of West Plains Co-Directors Michelle Watson and Tressa Pressley.
