WSFD Elects Fire Chief and Asst. Fire Chief

The Willow Springs City Council approved the results of the Willow Springs Fire Department’s election to name the fire chief and assistant fire chief. The voting took place among the members of the WSFD on July 19.
Nominations for the positions from the floor included incumbent fire chief, Donald Worley, Nick Tooley, Lieutenant Vance Farmer, Adam Webb, and Josh Ferguson. Ferguson declined the nomination. 
For chief, Donald Worley received nine votes; Farmer received two, and Webb received one. For assistant chief, Vance Farmer received five votes; Webb received three; Tooley received three, and Worley received one. 
At the City Council meeting on August 20, Alderman Phil Knott made a motion to appoint Donald Worley Fire Chief and Vance Farmer Assistant Fire Chief. It was seconded by Alderman Troy Yonker, and it carried unanimously.
