WSPD Seek Public Assistance Identifying Thief

On August 31, Assistant Chief Wes Ellison was dispatched to Coulter Heating & Cooling in reference to a report of tampering with a motor vehicle. An employee of Coulter Heating & Cooling reported that someone had stolen the catalytic converter from one of their vans over the weekend. Asst. Chief Ellison was able to obtain video footage of the theft showing the suspect.
At this time, the theft remains under investigation. Police Chief Bryan Hogan told Howell County News that his department is working with other local law enforcement agencies who have reports of similar thefts. It is possible, though not confirmed, that the thefts may be related.
Anyone with information on the man in the surveillance footage is asked to contact the Willow Springs Police Department at 417-469-3158.
