Officer Dustin Smith joined the ranks of the Willow Springs Police Department on January 13. Officer Smith has worked in law enforcement for three years and was previously a Sheriff’s Deputy in Ozark County. He is from the Summersville area.
He was drawn to Willow Springs by the chance to work with Officer Paden Turnbull, who he knew from the academy and by his existing relationship with Sergeant Mike Huffman.
“These guys have all been great,” said Officer Smith, “They have been willing to tell me anything I need to know. It’s going smooth, and it’s working very well so far.”
Officer Smith will be mostly working overnight shifts, from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
