Incidents 
January 25
A burglary was reported on Private Road 2018. There are no suspects, and the incident remains under investigation. 
An unresponsive male was reported on County Road 6540. The body was transported to Robertson Drago Funeral Home. 
January 26
Property damage was reported at Fairview Elementary School on State Route K in West Plains   
A traffic stop was conducted at Casey’s on Preacher Roe in West Plains. The driver and passenger were arrested on active warrants. 
January 27
A weed eater and chainsaw were reported stolen from a shed at a residence on State Route K in West Plains. The investigation is ongoing. 
A female subject came to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office to report stolen medication. There are no suspects in the theft. 
A lock was cut and removed from a storage shed on County Road 3330 in Mountain View, and an ATV was stolen from inside. The investigation continues. 
A dog was reported stolen from the area of County Road 5900 in Willow Springs. A suspect was identified and questioned. The suspect admitted to stealing the dog but stated that he had released the animal. However, the dog was later recovered from inside the suspect’s home. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office. 
January 28
A woman reported that someone she knew damaged a door on her vehicle. A report was taken. 
Conley’s on State Route N in Pomona reported that a customer who had agreed to return to the store to pay for fuel had not done so. Contact was made with the customer, who insisted that they would return to the store and pay. A report was taken. 
A physical domestic was reported on U.S. Highway 160. One female subject was taken into custody on outstanding warrants. A male subject was placed on a safety hold, due to his intoxication. 
A suspicious vehicle was reported at County Road 6890 and State Route CC. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 
January 29
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 1610. No criminal charges were filed. 
A woman came to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office to report that her juvenile daughter had run away from home. The investigation continues. 
A suicidal male was reported on County Road 2840 in Mountain View. The male willingly checked himself in for a mental evaluation. 
January 30
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle that had been involved in a domestic disturbance. The male driver was arrested on traffic related offenses. A female passenger was arrested for a drug related offense.
