Brittney Lanell Tackitt, 31, failure to appear (two counts). 

 

 

Incidents

January 31

A traffic stop was conducted on the 1700 block of Wayhaven. The driver was taken into custody on multiple active warrants. 

A juvenile female came to the police department to report a sexual offense. The matter is under investigation. 

Keys were found on West Main Street. The keys were taken to the police department for safekeeping. The owner is unknown. 

Bracket Road Service reported the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle. A report was taken. 

A jailer was able to to prevent a suicide attempt of an inmate at the city jail. The inmate had attempted to hang himself inside the cell. The inmate was transported to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation. 

A woman reported that items were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on East Olden. The matter is under investigation. 

February 1

A fire was reported on the east side of the downtown court square. Firefighters quickly responded to the blaze at Powell-Crews Title office. The fire is still under investigation. 

A runaway juvenile was reported on Jackson Street. The juvenile was located and returned to his parents. 

A male subject was reported unconscious on Lincoln Avenue. The subject was still breathing, and was arrested after an investigation on active warrants, and for child endangerment. 

Herschel Feed and Farm Supply reported a shoplifter. The suspect has been identified. 

A domestic assault was reported on the 1600 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. There were no injuries, and the victim did not wish to pursue charges. 

An agency assist was provided to the Oregon County Sheriff’s Office. Documentation was completed. 

February 2

A traffic stop was conducted on Cherry Street. The driver was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant. 

Property damage was reported at the Junction 14 Truck Stop. A report was completed. 

Shoplifting was reported at Ramey Supermarket. The suspect was identified and trespassed from the store. Charges were forwarded to the municipal prosecutor. 

A well-being check was made on a subject that was seen walking in the road near Kaywood Estates. The subject was found to be extremely intoxicated and was transported to the police department. The subject was later released with no charges. 

February 3

A violation of a court order of protection. The suspect was taken into custody pending formal charges. 

A domestic assault was reported on Lanton Road. The male suspect was taken into custody on an active warrant, and a probable cause statement in regard to the assault was sent to the Howell County Prosecutor. 

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Parkway Shopping Center for a theft. An unknown suspect stole several items. The case remains under investigation. 

An intoxicated driver was involved in a traffic crash on the 1100 block of Saint Louis Street. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, and the driver was taken into custody. 

A burglary was reported on the 3300 block of Ozark Street. An investigation found that the report was unfounded. 

February 4

A male subject was arrested on Thayer Avenueon a probation and parole warrant. 

A woman reported that her juvenile daughter had received a controlled substance from an adult male who had requested inappropriate images from her in exchange. The investigation is ongoing. 

February 5

Officers responded to Division Drive in reference to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located a short time later and was returned to the facility. 

A suicidal male was reported on Lanton Road. The male subject was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. 

Stolen property was reported on the 1000 block of Howell. A suspect has been identified. 

A possible sex crime was reported on Kay Drive. The matter remains under investigation. 

February 6

A report was received of a male subject standing in the yard of a home on 4th Street, threatening the homeowners. No charges were filed. A report was completed. 

A man was placed on a 96-hour mental health hold after reportedly screaming and causing property damage on Davis Street.
