Calls for Service

April 21

Corporal Trenton Roberts assisted an individual with a verbal dispute.

Corporal Roberts responded to Daniel’s Tire for a verbal dispute. The individual left the property with no further issues.

Corporal Roberts received a call to Plum Street for an animal issue. He could not locate the animal owner at that time.

April 22

Officer Allen Reef took information from Walmart regarding an employee suspected of stealing.

Corporal Roberts received lost property found near the police department. The owner of the property reclaimed it before the end of the day.

Corporal Roberts answered a request to check on a suspicious vehicle parked at the Church of God for several days. After finding the vehicle secure, he left a tow notice on the vehicle.

April 23

Officer Kylie McGee responded to Brown’s Lawn and Garden for an alarm. The met the key holder and verified the building as secure.

April 24

Corporal Roberts responded to Walmart for a fight in progress. After speaking to the victim, he issued a citation to the suspect.

Corporal Roberts assisted with a call on Seventh Street of theft. The individuals involved agreed to work it out between themselves.

Officer Reef assisted Texas County Sheriff’s Office with a gas drive off. He contacted the individual involved and informed them to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

April 25

Officer McGee responded to Angelica Street for a juvenile issue. She spoke to a caregiver and offered judicial remedies. 

April 26

Officer Dawnesha Scott responded to a call for a possible domestic disturbance. Investigation found the residential alarm had sounded causing raised voices. 

Officer Reef assisted an individual with information on a subject possibly stalking them.

Officer Reef checked on a driver with a flat tire. The driver had already called for a tow truck.

April 27

Assistant Chief Stetson Schwien received information of a possible break in at a business.

Officer Reef spoke with an individual concerned about a day care where vehicles blocked traffic.

Officer Reef received a request from the VA for a well-being check. He did not make contact with the individual but spoke to someone in the residence.

Officer Reef responded to a wellbeing check. He found the individual on the floor and called EMS to transport the individual.

An individual requested assistance with purchasing a handgun from a pawn shop who had refused to sell to him. They advised that the pawn shop had final say in handgun sales based on background checks.
