June 16

Officer Kylie McGee spoke to an officer from Modesto, Calif. and confirmed a stolen vehicle from Mountain View.

Officer McGee responded to an alarm at Walmart. The overnight manager stated the alarm goes off at random intervals. Everything appeared safe and secure.

Officer McGee responded to North Ash for a neighbor dispute. When an individual watered the rose bushes at one residence, the other residence claimed the individual to be looking in the windows. 

Cpl. Trenton Roberts received a report of a vehicle weaving on the roadway. He contacted the driver and found an elderly person claiming to be tired and needed to rest.

June 18

Cpl. Roberts took a report of reckless driving by an individual on a dirt bike.

Cpl. Roberts received information about a vehicle hitting a mailbox.

Cpl. Roberts responded to a report of peace disturbance on East Fourth Street. The person causing the disturbance agreed to stop being disruptive. 

Cpl. Roberts investigated a possibly stolen wallet from Apple Market.

June 19

Officer Timothy Gordon received a request for a wellbeing check on an individual on Oak Street. The individual relayed they were just sitting and did not need assistance. 

Officer Gordon conducted a security check of a vehicle parked behind a business. All appeared secure.

While on routine patrol, Officer Gordon found a school bus with the doors open. He passed the information to the appropriate party. 

Officer Gordon received a call from a parent concerned that their child did not return home from school. Before Officer Gordon could being his investigation, the parent called again stating the child fell asleep on the bus and missed their stop. The child returned home safely.

Officer Gordon spoke to an individual about a spam phone call.

Officer Gordon received a call from an individual stating a juvenile came to their house reporting a sibling missing. Officer Gordon responded to the juvenile’s residence and found a parent and the juvenile in question both at home. 

Officer Gordon responded to a call of an injured animal. The caller reported and animal was struck by a vehicle and alive but unable to be saved. He safely dispatched the animal and disposed of it.

Officer Gordon received a call of juveniles using chalk in the roadway. He responded to the area and found the children supervised by parents and not in any danger or causing issues to traffic.

Officer Gordon responded to an alarm call at a business. He found all doors secure. When the keyholder arrived, he cleared the building. They found the building undisturbed.

Officer Gordon responded to North Ash for an individual possibly yelling at children. The individual claimed the children destroyed flowers but denied yelling at them. Investigation into the flower destruction will continue.

Officer Matthew Combs responded to East Second for a report of domestic disturbance. He found a verbal argument only. 

Officer Gordon took a report of a missing cat.

Officer Gordon received a report of suspicious vehicles at the airport. He found juveniles taking photos of their vehicles. They stated they would leave the area. Officer Gordon found nothing disturbed at the location.

June 20

Officer Combs received a request for a wellbeing check. He found the individual sleeping and fine.

Asst. Chief Stetson Schwien assisted with removing a disabled vehicle from blocking traffic.

June 21

Officer Combs checked on a disabled vehicle. The owner relayed they would have it towed soon.

Officer Combs assisted a driver of a disabled vehicle until it could be moved from the roadway.

Officer McGee responded to a wellbeing check on Stevenson Street. Investigation found the individual had moved away.

June 22

Officer Combs responded to a report of someone banging on the police department door. He found an individual not in a clear mindset. The individual’s parents took them home.
