Calls for Service

 

June 15

Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault at Willow Winds. They spoke to the victim who relayed they were physically assaulted. Sgt. Hoopes issued a citation to the suspect. 

Officers responded to North Ash for a dispute. They advised the subjects to separate. 

June 16

Officer Cronin responded to a call of a suspicious individual with a weapon behind UPS. Officers contacted the individual who claimed to have no ill intentions. They advised the individual to be respectful of others in regards to the weapon and to leave UPS property.

Officers assisted with traffic control for a vehicle accident on State Route 76.

Officer Cronin responded to State Route DD for a possible prowler. He did not locate anyone.

Officers and Animal Control responded to Park Street for a report of dogs running at large. One frightened dog bit ACO Templemere. Neighbors reported the owners away from home for a few days. Both animals were taken into custody. 

June 17

Officer Bloomer responded to a report of an individual in a vehicle yelling at a residence. He did not locate the vehicle.

Officer Gates received a report of a license plate on the west on ramp. He located the license plate and returned it to the owner. 

Officer Stuble responded to East Sixth Street for a neighbor dispute. He advised both to speak to management about the issue.

Troop G reported to officers that an individual there to ride along with an officer had a warrant out of Willow Springs. Officers responded and took the individual into custody. The subject posted bond and was issued a new court date.

June 18

Officer Cronin conducted a security check on a vehicle parked in the old gym parking lot. He found two individuals conversing. 

Officer Barnhouse received a report of a motion alarm behind a business on South Harris. The reporting party stated no one should be there. Officers found an individual claiming to stop and rest from chest pain. The individual refused medical treatment. Officers advised the individual to leave the property.

June 19

Officer Barnhouse received a report of a suspicious person at a condemned residence on West Fourth Street. Officers found the homeowner cleaning the property.

Officer Hocking assisted with property inside a previously towed vehicle.

Officer Barnhouse assisted an individual with a possible theft and harassment.

June 20

An off-duty officer contacted Officer Barnhouse regarding a trespassing subject on East Third Street frightening the resident owner. The owner requested the subject be trespassed and filled out the paperwork. Officers located the subject and served the trespass order.

Officer Barnhouse responded to a report of burning at Willow Winds. The subject reported they were tasked with cleaning the property. Officers explained the legal restrictions of burning in the city.

Officers responded to Park Street to assist EMS with lifting a patient.

Officer Gates responded to the golf course for a report of a young child not breathing. 

Officer McGinnis assisted with checking on a possible water line break on Corn Avenue. Officers closed the street for repairs.

Officers observed a known individual on Fourth Street. They found the person living in an inhabitable residence. Officers took them into custody and will charge them with trespassing.

June 21

Officer McGinnis responded to a trespassing report on East Fourth Street.

Officers took a report of vehicle damage on East Fourth Street.

Asst. Chief Lewis responded to reports of a grass fire on East Main past Love’s Travel Center. He found it to be an agriculture-related controlled burn.

Asst. Chief Lewis checked on a possible disabled vehicle at Love’s Travel Center. The driver did not require assistance.

Asst. Chief Lewis assisted an individual with possible theft by fraud of a debit card.

Officers took a report of vehicle tampering on Fourth Street.

June 22

Officer McGinnis assisted an individual with possible banking fraud.

Officers responded to Good Graces for an alarm. Investigation found it to be a false alarm.
