Reveal of Veteran Memorial Banners May 25 in West Plains

The public is invited to gather on Monday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. on the front lawn of the West Plains Civic Center. This will be the reveal of the community's Veteran Memorial Banners. They are displayed throughout downtown in honor of the brave men and women who have served our country.

This project was created as a Girl Scout Gold Award in partnership with the city and AMVETS to recognize and remember local veterans through personalized memorial banners that will proudly hang throughout downtown beginning Memorial Day.

The ceremony will include a proclamation from the Mayor, remarks about the project and the veterans being honored, refreshments provided by AMVETS, and an opportunity to stroll through downtown and view the banners with family and friends.

The community is invited to come together in remembrance, gratitude, and celebration of the heroes who have served our nation.
