Fundraising ongoing for W.S. Christmas tree

A committee in Willow Springs is raising money for a community Christmas Tree. The cost of this tree is $15,000. The commercial tree is constructed to ensure public safety to meet liability insurance requirements.

The desired tree will be 18 feet tall with a 3-foot star on top and decorated with ornaments. The lighted tree will be installed and anchored in the Wendell Bailey Park.

Fundraising has already reached the halfway mark of the $15,000 as of now. The tree will be purchased when the committee reaches their $15,000.00 goal.

The tree can provide ways of bringing families and friends together within our community during a very special time of the year, says a release from the committee.

Various donation levels are available: Bulb level: $1-$20.00, Branch level: $25-$50.00, Section level: $75.00-$100, and Gold Star: $100 +

Give in the honor of your loved one. Business sponsorships and community donations are welcome.

Checks should be made to: Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce, with the memo write: Christmas Tree Fund. Mail to: Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 322, Willow Springs, Mo. 65793

Committee members are Peggy Brown, Alex Biehl, Jimalee James, Elise Hageman. For questions, contact Peggy Brown or Alex Biehl at 417 469 4100. The Christmas Tree Committee is not afflicted with the Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce; however, the committee has their full support.
