Mountain View Chamber of Commerce to host Nonprofit Expo on National Nonprofit Day

The Mountain View Chamber of Commerce will host a Nonprofit Expo on Monday, Aug. 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Community Center, 125 W. 1st Street, Mountain View, Missouri.

 

Held in recognition of National Nonprofit Day, the free community event is designed to shine a spotlight on the nonprofit organizations serving Mountain View and the surrounding area while creating new opportunities for organizations, volunteers, and community members to connect.

 

The Nonprofit Expo will serve several purposes for participating organizations, including:  Providing an opportunity for membership and awareness drives, showcasing each organization's mission, services, programs, and upcoming initiatives, connecting nonprofit organizations directly with community members, developing a shared volunteer list of individuals interested in helping organizations throughout the community, building stronger relationships and encouraging collaboration among local nonprofit leaders.

 

The Nonprofit Expo is free and open to the public, and community members are welcome to stop in anytime between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

 

There is also no cost for nonprofit organizations to participate, but space is limited. Local and area nonprofit organizations interested in participating are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
