Rhonda Lea Sanders

Rhonda Lea Sanders, 56, of West Plains, Missouri died on August 13, 2026, at Ozarks Healthcare following an unexpected illness. She was born on December 19, 1969, in West Plains to Ron Falwell and the late Jeanne Sinclair Falwell. Rhonda was the first of four siblings.

 

Rhonda spent her whole life looking after others and was a caretaker by both nature and career. She spent the last eight years working at Newton's Group Home, where she found a second family in her coworkers and the consumers she cared for.

 

She was an avid follower of Jesus and found a home for fellowship with those at Genesis Church. In her spare time, Rhonda enjoyed creating diamond art paintings, watching home renovation shows, and playing video games with her seven-year-old grandbaby.

 

Rhonda is survived by her daughters, Ashley and Sara (Josh); grandchildren, Mila, Zoe (Tyler) and Zach; siblings, Christy (Willie) and Michael (Carla); nieces, Kimberly (Eric), Tiffany, and Allison; nephews, Austin, Nathan, and Logan; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne; her daughter, Jessica; her brother, Charles; her niece, Christina; and her nephew, Shawn.

 

Memorial services for Rhonda will be Sunday, August 23rd at 3:00PM at Genesis Church in West Plains. Cards, flowers and donations may be sent to Genesis Church.
