ALEXIS DALE BARRETT

Alexis Dale Barrett, a resident of Willow Springs, unexpectedly passed away early Monday morning, April 12. She was born August 9, 2002 in West Plains, MO to Charlene Carmella Barrett and Tyler Rogers Hendrix and was 18 years of age.

Alexis grew up in Willow Springs and attended the local schools from kindergarten through the 11th grade. She enjoyed playing softball while in junior high school. She was highly active in many scholastic programs. She loved music and was a member of the band and played the trumpet as well as the tuba. She was a cheerleader and even served as cheer captain. She was also a member of the chess club and the CAT program in elementary through junior high school. Alexis loved animals so much that her family said she even "collected" them. However, her favorite times were spent just being Mom to her young son, Grayson, whom she loved immensely. Alexis will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her.

Alexis was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roger Dale Barrett, great-grandmother, Shirley Ann Maramba, and her great-grandfather, Leonard Lucafo.

She is survived by her son, Grayson Allen Dale Williams; her mother, Charlene Carmella Barrett; her sisters: Adelle Lilia Butler and Sophia Monroe Barrett; her grandparents: Charlie and Carmella Green; and two aunts: Jennifer Levangie, and Nicolette (Chipper) Wood. She is further survived by seven cousins: Austin, Michelea, Gabriella, Gina, Zachary, and Christopher; and one great cousin, Ellouise.

The family respectfully requests for those who wish to make a donation, a memorial account has been set up at West Plains Bank in Willow Springs for Alexis Barrett to benefit her son, Grayson.

A visitation for Alexis will be held Thursday, April 15 at Willow Funeral Home, LLC from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with the funeral service immediately following, with Eric Duddridge officiating.
