CAROLINE JUNE MAGGARD

Caroline June Maggard, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, while at her son's home in Willow Springs. She was born June 23, 1938, in Bruner, MO to Otis Emmett Luttrull and Edna Leona (Horton) Luttrull and was 84 years old.
Caroline grew up at attended elementary school at LaRose School, then went on to attend Sparta High School. As a child, she was brought up in the Pentecostal faith. She married Dale Maggard on February 5, 1954, in Taney County, MO, and to this union 3 children were born. She and Dale owned a sawmill operation, and she was responsible for the sale of lumber. She also worked at the Richline Boat Company in Richland, MO, where she would inspect the boats and do repairs, if necessary, on them. While there, she had the opportunity to meet several professional fishermen. When she wasn't working, she loved to garden, and it was said she was a "lucky" fisherman. She also liked it whenever she was invited to shoot a gun and was quite an excellent shot. She was a wonderful cook and excelled at cooking country style ribs. She was the caregiver for Dale for 19 years after he was injured in an accident and paralyzed from the neck down. Her fondest times were those spent with her grandkids. She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her brothers: Ermine Luttrull, James Luttrull, Dean Luttrull, Bob Luttrull, and Jack Luttrull; and her sisters: Ruby Brown, Betty Robinson, and Mary Louise Hamblin.
She is survived by her son, Roger Maggard and his wife, Leslie, of Mtn. Grove, her son, Rick Maggard and Mary, her daughter, Rhonda Wake, and her husband, Lonnie, all of Willow Springs; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Dorothy Moses of Wichita, KS, and her brother, Charles Luttrull of Muscatine, IA.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in her memory be made to Three Rivers Hospice, and they may be left at the funeral home.
There will be a graveside service for her on August 16, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor George Colbert officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC. Online condolences may be expressed at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com
