Gary Dale Wilbanks

Gary Dale Wilbanks was born February 15, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri to Freddie Junior and Cleeda (Turner) Wilbanks. He went to his Heavenly home on May 31, 2022.  
Gary was united in marriage to Virginia Bailey on September 20, 1969.  To their union, two children were born, Michael Lynn and Tamara Linn.  
He grew up in the Summersville area and graduated from Summersville High School with the class of 1971.  
Gary was a hard worker and when he wasn’t running his truck, he stayed busy on the farm raising cattle and horses. He was currently driving for J. Butler and Sons Trucking of Belle, Missouri. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, horseback riding and taking the grandkids fishing in the farm ponds.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jr. and Cleeda Wilbanks; his mother-in-law, Velma Bailey; his father-in-law, Howard Bailey; his great grandson, CJ; his brothers-in-law, Elmer and Larry Bailey and a sister-in-law, Ruth Brown.  
Gary is survived by his wife, Virginia of the home; his son, Michael Wilbanks and wife Jodie; his daughter, Tamara Shockley and husband Scot all of Summersville, MO; his grandchildren: Lacy Lang and husband Aaron of Nashville, TN, Mikéla Wilbanks and fiancé Tony Burchard of Salem, MO, Quinton Shockley, Laurin Shockley and Slavi Petresku all of Summersville, MO; great grandchildren: Piper, Parker, Cole, Karter and a great grandson on the way; his sister, Judy Cooper and husband Jerry of Summersville, MO; sisters-in-law, Arlene and husband Kien Su of Tipton, MO, Lorene and husband Dean Vandivort of Houston, MO, Vivian Yandell of Hartshorn, MO, Jean Bailey of Nixa, MO and Marlene and husband Gary Gray of The Villages, FL; a brother-in-law, Denny Bailey of Springfield, MO as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Gary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.  
Funeral Services were held June 3, at Bradford Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Brake officiating.  Interment was in the Oakside Cemetery.  Services were under the care of Bradford Funeral Home and online condolences may be left at www.bradfordfuneralhome.net
