Hannah Mae Russell

Hannah Mae Russell was welcomed into this world on July 19, 1999. Her Heavenly father called her home on November 8, 2020. She was a 21-year-old country girl with a hippie soul.

Hannah knew her Lord and Savior and was baptized and saved at the young age of 8. Her love for the Lord opened her heart to spread love to everyone she met. She was very gentle and had a strong compassion for animals. She was always fast to make friends and would be the first to stick up for the ones that weren’t as strong-willed. She was always smiling and had a great sense of humor that kept everyone laughing. Hannah attended school in Willow Springs, from preschool-through high school and graduated in the class of 2017. She was a beautiful Homecoming Queen her Senior year and was so proud and honored to be chosen by her peers. She knew she wasn’t chosen because of her academics or popularity, but because she was kind and wanted everyone to know their worth. Hannah’s left-handed roots ran deep. She was so artistic and loved creating things with her hands; making pottery, painting, drawing, photography, and sculpting. She had a passion for music and was always using her beautiful voice to sing. Hannah worked at Lambs for the Lord Daycare in Willow Springs where every child touched her life in some way. She was always bragging or telling funny stories about the kids. Her patience was constantly tested, yet she prevailed beautifully with gentleness and compassion. When Hannah was welcomed into Heaven, she was reunited with her maternal grandmother, Wanda Chritton, paternal grandparents John Medlock and Bonnie Russell, her uncle, J.R. Medlock, her dear friends Alex Hayes, and Kassie Cody, and lots of pets that she loved throughout the years.

Hannah leaves behind her father and mother, Jay and Debbie Russell of the family home, 2 older sisters: Stefanie Hobson and her husband, Matt, Chantel North and her husband, Scott, 3 nieces  that she adored, Natalie and Finley Hobson, and Dallas North; a grandfather, Clarence Chritton, a grandmother,  Lana Medlock (Springfield), uncles: Mike Chritton, Denny Russell (Summersville) Kenny Russell and wife, Bonnie (Summersville), Brad Medlock; her boyfriend, Dalton Turner (Mountain Grove) and his parents, Steve and Pam Turner, several cousins, and tons of friends.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that she was loved by so many, and hope that all who knew her will continue to spread her good-vibe spirit. This is not good-bye, just a “Peace guys, see ya later.”

A visitation for Hannah will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 A.M. at the First General Baptist Church in Willow Springs with Pastor Scott Williamson officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC.
