Jeffery Eugene Bailey

Jeffery Eugene Bailey was born in Flint, Michigan, on September 14, 1964, to Eugene and Joan (Vines) Bailey. He departed this world for heaven on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri from a heart attack. He was united in marriage to Kristin Michelle Kirtlink on June 18, 1999, in Panama City Beach, Florida. 

He was predeceased by his father, Eugene; and grandparents, Charles and Ethel (Hedrick) Vines and Adolphus and Addie Oma (Cheek) Bailey.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kristi; daughter, Ashleigh Bailey, and wife, Darrein of Red Wing, MN; son, Jared Bailey, and daughter, Jenna Bailey both of the home; mother, Joan Bailey of Mountain View, MO;  sister, Elaine Bailey Weaver, and husband, Don, of Mountain View, MO; sister, Beth Bailey Halsell, and husband, David, of Lake Ozark, MO; brother, Scott Bailey, and wife, Regina of Wildwood, MO; brother-in-law, Danny Kirtlink of Fair Grove, MO; sister-in-law, Carrie (Kirtlink) Brauer and husband, Brent, of Seymour, MO; grandchild, Nizhoo Mani Ga Bailey of Red Wing, MN; and numerous nephews and nieces. 

Jeff was an incredible husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His greatest love was for his family and spending time with them. He loved to turkey and deer hunt and spend time in Colorado elk hunting. Jeff was an avid fisherman and gigger and enjoyed hosting fish fries with friends. He was raised and lived most of his life in Mtn. View, Missouri and was a successful entrepreneur managing a construction company, rental real estate business, farm, and Godfather’s Pizza franchise. Jeff was a skilled carpenter, woodworker, and could “fix anything” all at the speed of light. He was a stubborn man of integrity and took pride in everything he did.

Jeff was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Steve Hockman celebrant and Scott Bailey speaker.  Visitation was Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.  Interment was in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation youth hunting program at e-mail: mchf@mochf.org.
