Kyla Jean Wake

Kyla Jean Wake, a resident of Webb City, MO, and formerly of Willow Springs, passed away
Friday, July 10, 2020 in Joplin, MO as a result of a motor vehicle accident.  Kyla was born May 10, 1985 to Dale and Susan (Metz) Button in Phoenix, AZ and was 35 years old.
Kyla spent her early childhood in Williams, AZ.  When she was 13, the family moved to Willow Springs.  She married Carlton Luke Wake in Willow Springs on May 31, 2005 at a friend’s house.  Kyla was employed as a waitress at Ryan’s and Ruby Tuesday both in West Plains.  She also worked at cleaning houses in the different towns where she lived. Kyla enjoyed spending her free time camping and floating the rivers in the area.  She also loved to sing; however, her favorite times were those spent with family, especially their children.  Kyla attended Westside Family Life Center where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was recently baptized. She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her.
Kyla is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Susan Button.
She is survived by her husband, Luke; their daughters, Hailey Jean and Alisha Lou; two stepchildren, Kacie Dawn Golden and Ean Paul Wake; her brother, Darren Button and her sister, Chennin Sullivan.  She is further survived by several nieces and nephews who will miss their “Auntie” dearly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made in Kyla’s memory to Willow Funeral Home, LLC to help defray funeral expenses and may be mailed or left at the funeral home.
A memorial service was held July 17, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs with Pastor David Lovan officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Little Zion Cemetery in Douglas County.  Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC.  Online condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com
