LESTER MANCEL SHARP

Lester Mancel Sharp, 76, of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020, at his home surrounded by family. He was born November 17, 1943, in Benkelman, Nebraska, the son of James Orville and Amy Pearl (Cozad) Sharp. He was the last living of nine children. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue Goodwin in 1963, and to this union, three children were born.

He is preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Carolyn Sue Sharp; two daughters, Tonya Sharp Brooks and husband, Johnnie of Mountain View, MO and Tina Sharp Whitehead and husband, Scott of Minneola, FL; son, Lester Daniel Sharp of Mountain View, MO; grandchildren, Tessa Hall and husband, Jason of Republic, MO, Carrie Elizabeth Gall and husband, Matthew of Iberia, MO, Erin Brooks and Quentin LaFevers of Mountain View, MO, Taylor Whitehead of Minneola, FL, Bandon Bay and wife, Ashley of Santa Fe, TN, Kaila Sharp of Mountain View, MO, and Dakota Sharp and wife, Kayla of Nixa, MO; great-grandchildren, Kyndall and Kingston Hall of Republic, MO, Austin Duncan and Matti Gall of Iberia, MO, Jerin Bland, Quenlee and Quincey LaFevers of Mountain View, MO, and Bennett Bay of Santa Fe, TN; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

 Lester was a dedicated UAW Local 136 member for 30 years. He was a hardworking man that always provided for his family. He always worked multiple jobs.

Lester loved riding horses and motorcycles, farming, working his cattle, and trail riding. He enjoyed visiting with his many friends while having his coffee. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Pastor Steve Steelman officiating. Visitation was held on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.
