Matthew Norman Clinton, 58, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, due to several health complications.
Born on January 31, 1968, in Big Bear, California, Matt lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. He was known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and ability to make both friends and strangers feel welcome.
Matt spent much of his life working as a sales associate and took great pride in serving his customers and providing for his family. He believed in showing up, keeping his word, and helping others whenever he could. Those who knew him remember a man who was dependable, honest, and never afraid to speak his mind.
Beyond his work, he enjoyed fishing, gaming, reading, spending time with his dogs, and going to the gun range. Whether he was singing in the shower, sharing stories with friends, or spending time with family, he found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He especially loved gathering with those he cared about most, often filling the room with laughter through his stories, playful teasing, and unmistakable sense of humor.
His family remembers him as a loving husband, father, and brother whose presence brought comfort and strength. He was the person everyone could count on for advice, encouragement, or simply a good laugh. While he had his share of quirks and strong opinions, those qualities only made him more memorable and more deeply loved.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Clinton; his children, Sydnee (Karl) Kootz, Kohl Clinton, Kayl Clinton, Kenadee (David) Jacobs, and Rosamond (Taylor) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Norman Clinton, and his brother, David Clinton.
Although his passing leaves a tremendous void, his family takes comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 19th, at The LDS Church in West Plains (2800 Christie Drive, West Plains, MO, Missouri 65775).
The family extends its gratitude to all who have offered their support, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A life that is loved is a life well lived.
Arrangements by Always Faithful Memorial Services, West Plains, Missouri.
