Michael Eugene Hyde

Michael Eugene Hyde, son of the late Billy and Nadine (Whetstine) Hyde, was born November 24, 1966, and departed this life December 5, 2022, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 56 years and 11 days old.
Mike went to school at Mountain Grove and graduated with the Mountain Grove High School class of 1985. Mike began driving a truck for Bill Honeycut, traveling the United States making friends everywhere he went. He became the ultimate wedding crasher before it was even a thing. Mike then began following his father’s footsteps landing a job with Howell-Oregon Electric becoming a journeyman lineman. Many of the stories you would hear him tell
were about his days at the Co-op. Later in his working career Mike worked for Duraline, Beeler and most recently L&R Industries retiring in January of 2022.
Mike loved creating memories on the river, across the country or in the show barn. He loved laughing and making others laugh.
Mike was united in marriage to Lori Dennis on August 12, 2009, (we think) it was always a question on the day and year, because it really didn’t matter. He knew they were supposed to be together and they were.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother and father.
He is survived by his loving and patient wife, Lori of Mountain Grove, children, Jessica Heath (Clayton) of Clever, Missouri, Mikyla Coatney (Travis) and Kyler Hyde of Norwood, Preston Jarrett (Brittany), Hali Shaffer (Luke), Jaxen Holman and Rileigh Holman of Mountain Grove, two sisters, Teresa Miller (Keith) and Karen Curtis (Dean) also of Mountain Grove, six grandchildren who were the twinkle in his eyes, Kaeley Ray and Ellie Virgina Morelock of Clever, Missouri, Boone Roy and Charlie May Shaffer of Norwood, and Parker and Vann Jarrett of Mountain Grove, as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will greatly miss him.
Services for Mike Hyde will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 8, in the First Baptist Church of Mountain Grove with burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery of Mountain Grove. Arrangements were under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
