Mountain View residents requested to return survey

The City of Mountain View is conducting a random survey for the purpose of reinstating the city's eligibility to apply for Community Block Development Grants (CDBG). The Low-to-Moderate-Income (LMI) percentage must be 51% for the city to be eligible for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). The current reporting shows the city's LMI Area percentage has changed from 47.0% to 61.78%, which makes the city of Mountain View no longer eligible to apply for certain grants that we were once able to obtain. A street improvements project last summer was halted due to this loss of eligibility. These grants are vital for the city to be able to improve the infrastructure.

"It is very important that if your household received the survey, to please complete the form and return to City Hall in the envelope provided," explained Mountain View Mayor Charry McCann.
Should you have questions, please contact Mountain View City Hall at 417-934-2601, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
