Norma Lou Wells

Ms. Norma Lou Wells (Granny Lou), age 100, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2022, in Lewisville Texas.
She was born April 17, 1922 in Willow Springs, Missouri a daughter of the late Mary Alice Whitten and Gaylord Gunn. Norma Lou was preceded in death by her brother, Jay Gunn and her son Larry Wells.
After a long career with Lily Tulip she retired and enjoyed being a member of Springfield First Baptist church. She loved playing the piano and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She resided in Springfield, Missouri for over 60 years. She was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman.
Norma Lou is survived by her granddaughters, Katherine L Wells married to Cleon Haynes and Stephanie A Merida married to William Merida Sr, her niece Dori Marcks married to Brad Marcks and nephew Scott Gunn. In addition she leaves behind her great grandchildren, Addison McGowan, Emmerson McGowan and William Merida Jr. and her great nieces and great nephew Emily Marcks, Anna Marcks, Abigail Gunn, and Matthew Gunn. She also leaves her sister in law, Sandy Gunn and many friends who will sadly miss her.
