Phyllis Harman

Phyllis Joann Harman passed away on May 30, 2020 in her second home at Mountain View Healthcare, Mountain View, Missouri. She was 75 years old. She was born on June 3, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to Lilburn and Edna (Courtois) Nickelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two nephews, and one grandson, Brett.

Phylllis “Joann” is survived by four daughters, Sandra Frost and husband, Dennis, of Birch Tree, MO, Vickie Sampson of West Plains, MO, Cynthia Prewett of Rockaway Beach, MO, and her baby girl, Deanna Martin, and husband, Jim, of Birch Tree, MO; eight grandchildren, Alisha (Cleve), Ryan, Shawn, Tiffany, Quintana (James), Kali, Ali, and Sherman;  seventeen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeannette Smith and husband, Truman, of Irondale, MO and Mary Birdsong and husband, Bobby, of Mountain View, MO.

At a young age she began her career in healthcare at St. Anthony’s in St. Louis, MO. She then worked at Willow Care and Mountain View Healthcare until she retired in 2002. She was a loving momma who did anything for her children, cherished her grandchildren, and was known to spoil her great – grandchildren. She was a fun – loving friend, coworker and confidant who will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to thank the workers at Mountain View Healthcare for the love and care they gave.

Visitation was held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, MO and funeral services were held at 2:00 PM also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Jeff Brake.
