Richard Pigg, age 73, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born on October 12, 1946 in Columbia, Missouri to the late Lindel R. Pigg and Betty Thomas Pigg.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Pigg Colbert.
He is survived by his wife Barbara A. Pigg, Jackson, TN; three sons, Richard E. Pigg, Jr., Oakland, TN; Robert Pigg and his wife Heather Pigg, Conroe, TX; and Ryan Pigg, Seminole,FL; one daughter, Angela Doi and her husband Derwin Doi, Honolulu, HI; two brothers, Don Pigg, Willow Springs, MO and Tom Pigg, Jackson, TN; five grandchildren, Sierra Doi, Jazmine Doi, Taylor Pigg, Emily Pigg, and Averi Pigg.
He joined the United States Marine Corp in October of 1964 and served his country proudly in Vietnam until his Honorable Discharge in October of 1968.
