ROBERT GLEN TATE, SR.

Robert Glen Tate, Sr., 73, Mountain View, Missouri was born on June 27, 1948, the son of Glen Robert and Fern (Weller) Tate. He passed away on August 13, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his fiancé, Debra Mullins; son, Bob Tate, Jr.; daughters, Terri Orchard and husband, Mikael, Trina Frazier and husband, Michael, Krissy Murphy and husband, Chuck; sisters, Cherri Terrill and husband, Jim, and Glenna Davis; brothers, Ted “Rhodora” Tate and Roy “Sunshine” Tate; grandchildren, Ashley Reese and husband, Ryan, Taylor and Tanna Tate, Abbi and Lexie Orchard, and Lucas and Ayden Frazier; and great-grandchildren, Rynlee and Trace Reese.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Fern Tate; brother, Gene Tate; and grandson, Jesse Clay Tate.

Bob loved music and anything involved with instruments.  He enjoyed fixing up and “tinkering” with cars.  He was the proud owner of the Ozark Trading Post in Mountain View for almost 40 years. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021, at Mountain View Christian Church in Mountain View, Missouri with Pastor Brian Ingalls officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m., also at the church. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.
