Steven Joseph Chandler

Steven Joseph Chandler of Mountain View, Missouri, was born on February 9, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Jack Chandler and Charlyne (Bauer) Foreman. He passed away on November 25, 2021, in Pomona, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Chandler, and grandparents, Walter and Blanche Bauer.

Steven is survived by his mother and step-father, Gary and Charlyne Foreman of Canyon Lake, CA; three daughters, Stephanie Briggs and husband, Terry of Pomona, MO, Betty Carter of Mountain View, Sherie Henry of Mountain View; one son, Danny Carter and wife, Kim of St. Louis, MO; three brothers, Mike Chandler and wife, Betty of St. Louis, MO, Dan Chandler and wife, Maureen of St. Louis, Mark Chandler and wife, Shirley of California; one sister, Sherri Sheilds and husband, John of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Kevin, Britnee, Seth, Heidi; and two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Malakai.

Steven lived in several different cities in Missouri over his lifetime, which included St. Louis, Mountain View, Cuba, and Summersville. He enjoyed his grandkids, fishing with his brothers, hunting, recycling, gardening, and spending time with people at Bar-B-Queuing. Steven loved scraping, spending time with his brothers and nephews, he was very proud of his nephews. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and eventually fights, whether it was on TV or in person. Steven especially loved seeing his nephew, Michael, compete. He also played the scrub board and harmonica.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date in St. Louis, Missouri. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
