Be careful what you wish for

Whether it is Russia, Cuba, China, North Korea, Venezuela or Iran, people from the U.S. are not scheduling vacations there. Why is that? Well, those countries are devoid of personal freedoms and they are ruled, not represented. Although they would deny this, their people are little more than cogs in a wheel, where the cog serves the wheel. Those above noted countries all represent central government control and have failed government-controlled economies. People complain about conditions in our

 

country, but only a handful leave. What is happening is an exodus of people from states where democratic socialist policies are emerging. And not surprisingly those states are becoming more and more like those verboten countries listed above. People who created successful industries in New York, Illinois, California, Massachusetts and Washington are leaving those states due to high taxes, the fanning of class warfare as well as demonizing religious freedom, public safety, hatred of constitutional education,

 

American traditions, the Bill of Rights, even our Republic form of government. The ones who stay and support the revolutionary zeal will trade their freedoms for freebees akin to Faust’s deal with the devil.  So the disciples for Socialism will lean toward the promises of their government saviors. Such promises of free child care, free bus service, nearly free groceries…free this and that if one buys the new government promises. So the smiling socialists promise, and the followers wait, and wait, and wait

 

for delivery of such. Today as you read this the savior governance will have delivered little on their promises of better times. But the gambit will continue with more, and more failed promises class warfare, and ginning of jealousy and envy. The new governance has no intention to rectify such as they need the rich to remain as a foil to blame for their own failed promises and policies. In the end the Faustian deal will not go well for its followers. Once they give up their freedoms to tackle their problems on their own, within a system that allows, even encourages such, the new governance will take control. Then, like Faust, they will be forced to rely on the will of their master, which will be anything but good. In the end their master with all its power will have no need to heed or care for its followers much like the wheel views its cogs.
