Dear editor,

Many of you have already learned that the Good Samaritan Care Clinic (GSCC) in Mtn. View is closing by the end of 2021. It was founded in 2003 by a group of people that saw a need in our community to provide healthcare for those without public or private insurance. Since it began, it has served patients in more than 34,000 encounters. In 2006, Mrs. Sheri Noble accepted the immense responsibility of clinic administrator. This allowed for the expansion of many clinic services and the full-time attention to the needs of patients. She was a calming voice on the phone when you were fearful, the assistance you needed in finding a way to pay for medication that was otherwise not affordable, the explanation of test results so you could understand, the hope in receiving relief from your pain, the voice of prayer for your healing, and the reassurance that someone truly cared and was there and willing to assist you. She made sure you were not overlooked. The Board & Trustees of the GSCC would like to extend our sincere thanks & appreciation to Dr. Jon Roberts and Mrs. Sheri Noble for their tireless contribution and devotion to the care of our community. The operation of the clinic for over 17 years would not have been possible without the commitment from the countless providers, volunteers, and patrons. Your generosity of time, skill and monetary support demonstrated the goodness of many for the benefit of others. We are so very fortunate. If you wish to leave a thank-you or farewell note for the clinic, Mrs. Sheri Noble or Dr. Roberts during this month of Thanksgiving, you are welcome to send it to GSCC, PO Box 160, Mtn. View, MO 65548.
Sincerely in gratitude,
The Board and Trustees of the Good Samaritan Care Clinic
