Dear Editor,

After watching the heartbreaking horror of one more mass shooting, what shall we call the cause?

Shall we call it "the need for increasing gun control," or should we look deeper and call it something more?

The root cause of each new mass shooting is called "the Darkness of the human heart." It's called "what we feed our minds" when no one else but God is looking. It's called "how we choose to be entertained." It's called "the video games we use to preoccupy our children," when their young, innocent minds are still impressionable. It's called "bloodsport" that ate like a cancer through the civilization of ancient Rome. It's called "the American Death Cult" that condones and promotes the butchery of 73,000,000 innocent unborn babies, since 1973. It's called "the aberrant perversion of nature itself." It's called "hatred, evil, inhumanity, and godlessness." It's called "the dissolution of human society." It's called "chronic, pervasive violence" that will continue expressing itself with rocks, clubs, knives, homemade explosives, and fire bombs... long after the last gun is outlawed. It's called "us" - who we are as a creature with unlimited intelligence but no moral restraint. It's called "an empty soul," crying to be filled by something or someone. It's called "Despicable Spiritual Evil" that creeps into the hollow void, searching for a home.

That's what it's called!
