It's amazing how ignorant some people are. I recently saw a comment in a newspaper where someone insinuated that sales tax and the increased prices due to tariffs were the same thing. I'll try to explain this in terms that even someone who is less than intelligent can understand. President Trump didn't cause Walmart to have a higher sales tax rate than other stores in West plains. Walmart has a higher rate because Walmart is in a special area (called a TIF or tax increment financing district) that allows them to charge a slightly higher sales tax rate in order to make money to improve their property (pave or repair their parking lot, add on to their building, etc). People really need to learn what they're talking about.
