Letter to the Editor

In regards to Troy Galebach’s letter to the editor in the April 14, 2021 Howell County News, I must say that I find many things disgusting. First of all, he should do a fact check on the points he makes.
According to TC Energy Corp., the Canadian company that owns the pipeline, 1,000 people will be out of work as the direct result of Biden’s order. No mention of the leaks that have happened or the environmental damage done, of course.
Biden’s intention of raising taxes is long overdue for corporations. My understanding is that if you make less than $400,000, your taxes won’t increase. I know very few people in this area that make that much.
Mr. Galebach’s listing of “facts” from the L.A. Times is a joke. If you do a little fact checking, you will find that these so-called facts have been circulating on the Internet for years and years. At first, we got emails forwarded to us and then when Facebook became popular the lies spread there. Posting this nonsense without checking the facts disgusts me. None of them are true.
It disgusts me that Republicans are doing everything in their power to suppress the voting in impoverished and minority neighborhoods. Cutting down on voting places and trying to eliminate mail-in and absentee ballots are only part of what they are doing. We have fought too long for the rights of everyone to vote. Making it harder and harder to vote is unacceptable.
It disgusts me that Republicans keep protesting the election that Biden clearly won. 63 lawsuits by #45 and his campaign were dismissed. It disgusts me that the Republicans keep protesting. It disgusts me that his supporters marched on our Capitol and did so much destruction. It disgusts me that people died and were injured in this insurrection.
It disgusts me that people vandalized and stole Biden signs before the election. It disgusts me that idiots stop in front of my daughter’s house screaming racial slurs because she supports Biden and Harris.
Basically, radical Republicans who overlook the facts disgust me.
