Moment in the Word

"And I will pour out upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace, and of prayers: and they shall look upon me, whom they have pierced: and they shall mourn for him as one mourneth for an only son, and they shall grieve over him, as the manner is to grieve for the death of the firstborn (Zechariah 12:10, Douay-Rheims Bible)."

Today, our response to current peril must primarily include submission to the Holy Spirit of Grace, repentance from sin, and prayer for divine forgiveness because we have obstinately pierced the heart of God's Son with indifference to His love. Only by sincere contrition can we meet God during His End-time revival.
Presently, we hear stories of people in Muslim countries who individually receive visions of Christ calling them one by one to Himself. Likewise, Zechariah's prophecy predicted the same for Israel, "In that day the lamentation in Jerusalem shall be very great, as the mourning for the pomegranate grove cut down in the plain. 12 And the land shall lament in separate families, the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Symeon by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that are left, each family by itself, and their wives by themselves (Zechariah 12:11-14, Brenton's 1850 translation of the ancient Greek Septuagint)."
Now, more than ever, we understand the unique character of Zechariah's words, describing penitent Jews who stand apart from family and friends after recognizing the One who their ancestors pierced. Supplicating for their sins, husbands isolate from their wives as children withdraw from their parents. Rather than the revival of a great multitude, all collected in one place, the final spiritual "Ingathering" will be for solitary souls elected to receive salvation like kernels of grain gleaned from a field after the general harvest has passed. Besides the descendants of Esau and Jacob, born to God's promise through their natural father Abraham, individual Gentiles are also predestined to receive divine mercy through Jesus Christ before their day of salvation permanently ends (Luke 21:24). While watching God's judgment repeatedly span the globe during the Age of Covid, we poignantly understand that the era of mass conversions at Billy Graham Crusades is over. If you're ever going to be saved, then you must personally account for your own soul in the presence of God alone.
But how can we perform this vital task?
Under current circumstances, we must individually approach God to present our penitent petition apart from a preacher's prodding. One-on-one, our blessed Redeemer requires us to appear before Him; confessing our sins (1 John 1:9), praying for forgiveness through Christ's death on the Cross (John 3:16-18), and asking the Holy Spirit to fill our lives with the genuine assurance of Salvation according to the revealed witness of His eternal Word (Acts 2:38, John 5:39).
While you read this article, please understand that absolutely nothing happens by accident and at this very moment, you can be saved from Judgment to come. However, you must not wait because God has said, "'At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.' Indeed, the 'right time' is now. Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2)." Please do not wait another moment because the door is closing and you might not get another chance!
