Dear editor,
I would like to say a “Big Thank You” to the Radiation Dept. at Ozarks Health Care in West Plains, Mo. I recently received 33 days of radiation for a rare cancer after surgery. OHC should be very proud of these Radiation Therapists, Angie, Brittni, and Kristy. These ladies are very caring and made sure I always felt comfortable and no fear during each treatment. To them it’s more than just a job, it’s that patient that walks through their doors that is special to them, and they give their all to all of them to help save each life.
I also want to thank the first three ladies I saw at the Registration Desk too, Sheri, Robyn, and Becky for their kindness and smiles they gave me as they checked me in. Again, OHC you are blessed to have a super Radiation Dept.
Though my doctors for surgeries are all in Springfield. I chose to have my radiation treatments done in West Plains, and no regrets. Also, thanks to friends and family for visits, food, phone calls, cards, and even video to keep my spirit high during their hard time. Thanks to friends Phyllis Franks, Cindy Wilson, Charry McCann, Marsha Lovan, and all my classmates of 1970 in Mtn View.
Thanks to family members, my wonderful husband, Earl and his 2 sons, Danny and Jerry, and my son Derrick Collins and wife Belinda, for all your support to my husband and me.
My cancer was sudden, rare, and shocked me so bad. I still have a ways to go, and chemo does not touch my type of cancer.
But I have God beside me, whom I once turned away from, but He always forgives us everyone and I have no fear of whenever He wants me to meet Him, I’m ready. I pray whomever reads this that you put your life in God’s hands too cause that’s all that matters. My mother used to sing a song “This World is not my home; I’m just passing through.”
There’s definitely a demonic spirit in our world trying to destroy everyone they can.
BUT I serve the God that will take care of this spirit and pray many turns to God now.
Thank you, Howell County News, for allowing me to express my thanks to everyone.
